For those preferring a more leisurely approach there is a walking trail through the lush grounds leading to the banks of the Rio Negro, the largest tributary to the Amazon River. Guests can also explore Salvador Lake ecological reserve, enjoying walking trails, canoe trips, swimming and fishing. Additional facilities include a gym, sauna, beauty parlour, shopping mall, orchidarium and a kids' club. The hotel also has an on-site zoo , open daily to guests, where animals that are unable to return to their native habitat are looked after. These include jaguars, macaws, parrots and capybaras.
