Hotel Manary Praia is set on Ponta Negra beach at the southern end of Natal, 20 minutes drive from the airport and some 15kms from the city centre. All guest bedrooms have wide balconies with hammocks and views either of the beach or the gardens and are equipped with airconditioning, TV and minibar. The restaurant serves excellent food, specialising in local seafood. There is a separate bar. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and separate children's pool, a solarium and a games room. Guests can relax in the tropical gardens, complete with waterfall and ornamental carp pool. Ponta Negra has a range a restaurants, bars, shops and handicraft stores. Excursions can be arranged from the hotel to nearby attractions including stunning beaches and sand dunes and the world's largest display of prehistoric rock art.

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Brazil combines with Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands due to scheduled flights, so, for example, it makes a good beach stop after Peru or Ecuador.
