About Hotel Fasano

  • Close Panel

Designed by Philippe Starck, Hotel Fasano is an architectural marvel, built largely from wood, glass and marble. It blends these traditional materials with modern technology to create a stunning hotel. There are 89 rooms, including 10 suites and deluxe suites. These are elegantly furnished and decorated and all have balconies with either ocean or courtyard views. Other room facilities include a plasma screen TV, safe, minibar, 24 hour room service, full butler service, free daily newspaper and fresh fruit and bottled water. Hotel Fasano is located on Ipanema Beach and there are stunning views of the beach and ocean from all parts of the hotel.

There is an infinity swimming pool on the hotel's rooftop exclusive to hotel guests, with superb views of Ipanema beach and the mountains. Guests can enjoy snacks and drinks, including freshly squeezed fruit juices, from the rooftop bar, which is open from breakfast through to sundown. Indeed, this is the perfect place from which to view fabulous sunsets over 2 brothers mountain, The hotel's spa is located on this level and offers a full range of body and facial treatments. There is also a marble steam room and sauna, plus a fully equipped fitness centre and personal trainer.

The hotel provides private beach service, with a Fasano Stand on the beach offering sun loungers, beach towels, parasols, bottled water, magazines and bar service. Guests can also hire surfboards. The historical district is about a 20 minute drive from the hotel and the Sugar Loaf and the Corcovado are about 15 minutes from the hotel.

The award-winning 'Fasano Al Mare' restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, both inside the restaurant and on the terrace. The emphasis is on fresh Mediterranean cuisine, using plenty of locally caught fish and seafood. The Londra bar is also open for light meals and range of drinks, including cocktails. This cosy bar with its leather sofas and chairs recreates the atmosphere of a London club. This is renowned as one of the best party venues in Rio and often plays host to celebrities and society figures. There is also a lobby lounge bar, with a superb all-mirror carved bar, which serves a full range of drinks.

Hotel Fasano is a member of 'The Leading Small Hotels of the World'.

Pricing guidelines for Brazil

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £900 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Brazil combines with Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands due to scheduled flights, so, for example, it makes a good beach stop after Peru or Ecuador.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
