Motswiri Camp is set on the banks of the Selinda Spillway in the far western corner of the Selinda Reserve, which links the Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando marshes. This is an area of over 120,000 acres of pristine African bush, home to giraffe, zebra, roan antelope, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and many elephant. The birdlife here is also abundant. Motswiri specialises in walking and and horse riding safaris, but also offers game drives and boat rides.
There are five large classic meru tents set on raised decks. Each tent has a large veranda overlooking the Selinda Spillway where elephants regularly come to bathe in the afternoons. The tents have en-suite bathrooms and are positioned well apart from each other. One of the tents has been specially designed to accommodate families.
The main area of the camp has a comfortable sitting room and separate dining area. There is also a sundeck and small plunge pool, ideal for cooling off in hot weather. Guests can spend time on the viewing platform which overlooks a deep pool where elephants come to drink.
Motswiri has many walking and riding trails - the latter are for experienced horse riders only. Other activities include mokoro rides, canoeing and boating on the spillway as well as game drives and night drives. Longer safaris may include fly camping at Little Motswiri.
