Kwara Camp is situated on the edge of the permanent waters in a remote area on the northern part of the Okavango Delta in Botswana and borders the Moremi Game Reserve. It is located amongst tall ebony trees in 1,700 square kilometres of private unfenced wilderness.
The camp consists of 8 luxury tents accommodating 16 guests. The tents are raised on teak decks to afford views over the surrounding plains and lagoon with the resident hippos. The tents all have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flush toilets and ouside showers. There is one honeymoon tent, which has a bath as well as the outdoor shower. The large ebony and mangosteen trees provide shade, which keeps the camp cool. There is also a large bird population in the camp. Kwara Camp has a swimming pool where guests can cool off.
Kwara Camp offers power boating, mokoro (dug out canoe) trips, guided walks and game drives all year round. As Kwara is in a large private concession the game drives can also operate off road and at night, which allows guests to see a greater range of wildlife. Amongst animals frequenting the area are hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, zebras, wild dogs, lions, leopards and cheetahs. The area is also famous for its diverse bird life.
