About Gunn's Camp

  • Close Panel

Gunn's Camp is set on a palm-fringed island overlooking Chiefs Island, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, widely regarded as one of the most spectacular game reserves in Africa. The camp consists of 6 large vintage-style safari tents, complete with ensuite bathroom and outdoor shower, separate lounge area and private veranda. The tents are fully furnished, using wood and African furniture. The tents are set on raised platforms overlooking the Delta plains. The trees provide shade and privacy, making this an idea honeymoon venue.

The island is connected to the main camp by a small causeway crossing the wetlands and magically lit by a series of lanterns. Guests have access to the recently renovated and refurbished elevated bar, lounge and dining area. There is also a boma, serving delicious grilled meals in the open air. The camp has a swimming pool. the perfect place for guests to cool off and relax. Activities offered here include half and full-day mokoro excursions, sunset cruises in custom-built motorboats, game walks, bush walks with picnic lunches and fishing excursions. Wilderness camping can also be arranged, which needs to be booked in advance.

Pricing guidelines for Botswana

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Botswana combines well with Zambia and South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
