About Chobe Chilwero

  • Close Panel

Chobe Chilwero is a luxury safari lodge with 15 cottage rooms on the border of Chobe National Park in Northern Botswana. It sits in an elevated position in a secluded part of this wilderness area with lovely views over the bush and its resident wildlife.

The luxury cottages are air conditioned and are equipped with large en-suite bathrooms with sunken baths, indoor and outdoor showers, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, hairdryers, in room safe and emergency intercom. There are private garden areas to each thatched chalet with a hammock and private terrace looking over the Chobe River.

Activities here include game drives in open sided 4WD vehicles in Chobe National Park where you frequently see elephants, hippos, buffalos, antelope, lions and many other species. More unusal animals such as Sable Antelope are also seen in Chobe. The birdwatching here is superb too. Boat safaris are a highlight of any stay in Chobe and the sunsets over the river are spectacular.

Fishing and spa treatments are available here at extra cost.

The food is a fusion of Western and African cuisine created to a high gourmet standard and all accompanied by vintage wines from the cellar.

Pricing guidelines for Botswana

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Botswana combines well with Zambia and South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:

  £50 to £150
