Botswana's vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR), covering an area larger than Denmark, is home to the San Bushmen, one of mankind's most ancient ethnic groups with a history stretching back 35,000 years - rock art in Namibia, painted by their ancestors, dates back some 25,000 years.
