Miracle Rivers & Ancient Lakes

Moremi Game Reserve is in the middle of the Okavango Delta and has a profusion of wildlife.  This safari includes plenty of time game viewing from vehicles and also being on the water.  This is complimented by time at the salt pans of Makgadikgadi and Nxai pan further south-east, with a rich natural and cultural history, making this a fascinating and varied safari.

Around Moremi you will see plenty of elephants and antelope, there are giraffe, zebra, a profusion of birdlife and a good chance of wild dogs or cats such as lion, leopard and cheetah.  The scenery is beautiful with a mix of forest glades, lagoons and plains.

The pans is a magical place to camp - the biggest open spaces you will experience this side of the moon!  The skies are huge and the distances vast, the cracked landscape out on the pans seems to stretch forever.  There are huge baobab trees and tall grasses in the parks and interesting wildlife such as meerkats, oryx and ostrich are seen here.

What is a mobile safari?  This is a personally guided small group camping trip run to a very high standard.  The camp / support team goes ahead and sets up and pulls down camp and you enjoy the freedom of game viewing and sight seeing with the guide.  All meals and drinks are included in the price and food is of a very high standard.  The campsites used are in private areas so you are the only group there. The mobile tented camps are comfortable and fully serviced, catering to our guests every need. This is a fantastic way to really immerse yourself in the bush - true safari life, on the move in rustic but comfortable camping style away from the trappings and stresses of modern life!

Guests are accommodated in spacious, walk-in wilderness safari tents with a private veranda and en-suite facilities. The tents are furnished with two stretcher beds, complete with a comfortable mattress, duvets and pillows, quality bed and bath linen, a bedside table, a coir mat and a battery powered lamp. The en-suite bathroom includes a dressing table, hand basin, hot water bucket shower, flush chemical toilet, bath linen and bathroom accessories.

The central guest area is an open area and is furnished with a dinning table and directors chairs as well as a bar. A limited laundry service is available to our guests on safari.

The safari vehicles used are custom built safari vehicles and designed to enhance game viewing, being both spacious and comfortable. Each guest is guaranteed a window seat for great views and photography. Our vehicles accommodate a maximum of 9 guests ensuring our guests exclusivity and personal attention.  There is a cool box plugged into the vehicle for cold drinks and you can charge camera batteries from the vehicle invertor system.

Your skilled safari team, namely a professional guide, camp manageress and staff with assist and accompany guests on safari. The guides are passionate about the bush and enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences with others. These individuals draw on a lifetimes experience and will enlighten, fascinate and entertain the guests throughout their journey. The camp staff pay special attention to details which we believe make all the difference. These creative and resourceful individuals have a reputation for serving superb meals on safari, prepared in a basic bush kitchen, that are guaranteed to satisfy any appetite.  They provide hot water for your bucket showers.  Everything is shipped in and taken away from the camp, there are no permanent facilities in the camp sites used.
