Makgadikgadi & Moremi

Experience two extremes of Botswana'’s environment, from the harsh, dry desert and salt pans of Makgadikgadi, to the watery world of the Okavango Delta. Moremi game reserve sits inside the Okavango region offering day and night drives, walks and game viewing by boat and mokoro.

This is fascinating at any time of year, but at certain times Southern Africa's largest remaining zebra and wildebeest herds pass thought the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans on migration searching for water.

There are a few camps dotted around the edge of the pans and the Kalahari ranging from basic tented to luxury.  This is just one example of the sort of tailor made trip we can offer for you.  It is also possible at dry season to camp out overnight at Kubu Island or on the salt pans and take part in quad bike trips.

Trip highlights

  • Contrasting scenery and wildlife from desert to lush rivers
  • Interesting geology and flora of the pans eco-system
  • Fantastic wildlife in Moremi and boat safaris
