This is a mobile tented camping safari experience focused on walking within the private concession in the Chobe Enclave, part of the Linyanti. This is an adventure that will awaken you to the heart beat of Africa and its true wilderness.
The distance walked each day will vary depending on the capabilities of the group and their interests. There are many stops for water, picnic breakfasts, lunches and many interesting sightings along the way.
The average day's walk is about 5 miles. The camp may move, dependent on where the wildlife action is, though it is more commonly static. The camp has a maximum of 3 tents, so caters to no more than 6 people at a time, and the minimum age is 16 yrs.
The Linyanti area is best known for its large populations of elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers especially during the dry season.
This really is an incredible experience for anyone who wants to get much closer to the African bush.
Duration: Minimum 3 nights
The emphasis of this experience is guided walks on which you will be able to explore and learn about the bush and the wildlife. We also use mokoros (dugout canoes) too.
Travelling slowly in these ways, you really do get a feeling for the African bush. You will look at tracks, checks, start to understand animal behaviour, learn about the trees and the environment ...
We don't give an exact itinerary, as the daily activities are very much geared to the interests of the guests and what is going on in the area at the time.
