Wildlife viewing in Botswana

Our Unforgettable Experiences pages are written by Tribes clients. They tell us in their own words what they really felt about the things they did and places and people they met on their holidays with Tribes. Hopefully this will help you when it comes to trying to decide where to go and what to do.

We\'d like to thank everyone who takes the trouble to write one of these Experience reviews for us. This is a new part of our website since February 2010, and we hope they will be added to quickly over the coming months.

  3. Terrific. The widest variety was at Chobe in terms of animals, amphibians and birds.
The game drives were great fun as the guides generally kept in touch with each other so we could see as much wildlife as possible. Sometimes wildlife would come to us whilst just quietly sitting outside the tents.

Masses of wildlife, mammals (50 varieties) - 100s of elephants, zeba, impala, tsessebe, antelope, 60 land bound hippos, 3 cheetahs, 2 leopards, 11 lions, 2 servil cats. 200+ species of birds. Do I need to say more? Wonderful. Friendly people. Wild, remote locations. Every day something exciting happened.

  3. Spotted very large numbers of everything. The conditions were difficult with tall grass causing particular challenge but that is part of the experience and you should never go armed with a checklist! We were lucky.
