Maun is in northern Botswana, and is the country's fifth largest town - although officially, it is still a village!
It is situated on the Thamalakane River, and is a small, but growing town. It is the main hub of the tourism industry linked to the Okavango Delta and Chobe.
Travellers tend not to spend much time in Maun, but there are a few hotels in and around the town.
