About Impalila Island Lodge

  • Close Panel

Impalila Island Lodge is a small lodge offering 8 luxury cottages and enjoys a quiet island location in an area abundant in both game and bird life. All cottages have en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and private decks where guests can relax in comfort and privacy. The lodge facilities include a lounge and dining area built beneath an ancient baobab tree, a bar, library, viewing decks and a shop. There is also a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off.

There are extensive water activities including game cruises along the Chobe River, gentle mokoro rides, motorboat rides and fishing. The island has several walks that guests can enjoy. A visit to local fishing village can also be arranged.

Although Impalila Island is in Namibian waters, transfers from Botswana are easily dealt with through a border 'tent' by the waterside near Lagoon Camp and you can fly to Impalila Island. There is an immigration post at Lianshulu Camp too.

Pricing guidelines for Botswana

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Botswana combines well with Zambia and South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
