Footsteps Camp is an exclusive camp in the Okavango Delta accommodating a maximum of just 6 guests. The camp is located on the edge of a beautiful lagoon where the ever present and highly vocal hippos wallow. Each tent is shaded by magnificent evergreen trees including African ebony and magosteen. Both lions and wild dogs are often seen in the area and the variety of plains game includes kudu, tssebe, zebra, and impala. Depending on the flood level guests can take a ride in a mokoro, travelling through the maze of channels winding their way through the papyrus and water lilies. Alternatively, guests can explore the area on foot led by an experienced guide and game tracker. Fishing is also available.
Accommodation is in twin bedded, insect proof tents with double fly sheets with sewn-in floors. Each tent has its own bucket shower and bush toilet, and a daily laundry service is provided. The bush kitchen produces excellent cuisine including fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of cheeses and South African wines, soft drinks and bottled water. There is also a well-stocked bar.
