Edo's Camp Edo's Camp is situated in the Kalahari area of Botswana. Edo's Camp offers not only a chance to explore the Kalahari area and its inhabitants, but also offers a rich cultural experience with the people of Botswana. Edo's Camp has 4 tents with only 8 beds, located in a 300,000 acre private game conservancy in the Kalahari area of Botswana. The camp is set around a rocky watering hole with the tents facing the pan. Accommodation is in spacious luxury tents under a thatched canopy and situated around ancient lead wood trees providing a cool retreat. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with bath, shower and toilet and each has a private verandah with views across to the waterhole. The camp has a swimming pool where guests can cool off.
The wildlife of the Kalahari has adapted to the environment with species such as gemsbok, hartebeest, kudu, springbok, wildebeest, giraffe and rhino flourishing. To experience the wildlife from Edo's Camp guests can venture on foot to track rhino with a Bushman, take a game drive in a 4 by 4 vehicle and a night drive. At the camp the permanent waterhole attracts an endless procession of thirsty animals in the drier months. Guests can also visit a San Bushman village (about half an hour from camp) to experience their traditional lifestyle and to witness how they have adapted their existence to the environment. Guests will have the opportunity to join the women and children of the village on their typical and everyday gathering of food and medicines from the countryside and will also be invited out walking with the Bushman trackers in search of the resident rhino, often seeing other wildlife along the way.
