Chitabe is a luxurious tented camp set on a beautiful island in the south west Okavango Delta and bordered on 3 sides by the Moremi Game Reserve. It is in the private Chitabe Concession.
Accommodation consists of 8 spacious tents built on raised wooden decks. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom with flush toilets, a shower and basin with hot and cold running water. The central dining area, lounge and bar are also set on raised on decks which overlook the surrounding flood plains and offer great views as guests relax over a meal or a drink. The camp also has a pool where guests can escape the heat of the day.
Activities offered include day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and guided bush walks. The area has a rich diversity of game which includes buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, lechwe, hippo and zebra. There are also bird watching opportunities.
There are also two elevated hides in the reserve where guests can observe wildlife and there is also the opportunity to 'sleep out' under the stars.
