About Okuti Camp

  • Close Panel

A small and intimate camp with just seven rooms at the edge of the Maunachira river flowing through Xakanaxa in the Moremi Game Reserve. The unique design of woven hoops gives a feeling of huge space in the cool rooms which enjoy a shady spot in the middle of one of Botswana's main game viewing regions. There is a swimming pool. Dinners are eaten by the campfire in the open boma.

There are 5 twin-bedded rooms with ensuite bathroom with flush toilet and indoor and outdoor showers. There are also 2 family rooms, each sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, with a shared bathroom with flush toilet. Please note children under 7 are not accepted. There is no mains electricity but there is invertor power for lights and charging batteries.

Wildlife is abundant in this area and game viewing is from comfortable open sided vehicles or by boat on the water channels near the camp. This is also a good bird watching area and Okuti offers seasonal boat excursions to Gadikwe Heronry. Moremi Game Reserve is an excellent destination for year round fantastic game viewing. There are plenty of elephants, giraffe, big cats and antelope as well as the possibility of seeing the elusive wild dogs!

Pricing guidelines for Botswana

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £700 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Botswana combines well with Zambia and South Africa.

For each accommodation on this website you will find an indication of the price. The bands are based on the price per person per night at peak season and are represented by the following values for this country:
£

  £50 to £150

  £150 to £300

  £300 to £500
