Shanti Maurice has a selection of suites and villas set in 36 acres of lush tropical gardens with views of inland hills and the Indian Ocean. In this restful setting you have the chance to relax and recharge your batteries.
There are 61 suites and villas throughout the gardens. All have ensuite bathroom, separate dressing room, plasma screen TV, DVD player and internet access. The villas are larger and have private gardens and swimming pools. The 2 bedroom villas are ideal for families.
The spa at Shanti Maurice has a lovely garden setting and has 25 treatment rooms offering a range of traditional Ayurveda and Yoga and contemporary spa treatments. You can have a consultation with the spa therapists to work out your own treatment programme. Meditation, pilates and aquafit classes are also available and you can enjoy being pampered in the beauty salon, which offers manicures, pedicures and haircuts and styling. There is a spa pool and jacuzzi - ideal for chilling out after treatments. The well equipped gym offers the chance to burn off calories and guests can be provided with their own training programme after a consultation with the gym staff.
All manner of watersports can be enjoyed here including sailing, wind surfing, sailing and snorkelling. Motorised watersports such as waterskiing and parasailing are available nearby. You can go for nature walks in the gardens, selecting a seclude spot for your freshly prepared picnic. There is a library and DVD collection, which you are welcome to use.
Cuisine at Maurice is a blend of traditional Mauritian, including tasty curries, and modern international fare. Freshly grown herbs (from the garden), vegetables and fruit also feature prominently as do fish and seafood. Red Ginger, the lobby bar, has indoor and outdoor areas and serves a fine selection of drinks and snacks.

Location: Preskil Beach Resort is on the south east coast of Mauritius, at Pointe Jerome. It is near the village of Mahebourg and just a 15 minute drive from the airport.
Rooms: There are 114 lagoon rooms with showers, 28 prestige cottages with baths and 14 spacious deluxe penthouses. All rooms have balconies or terraces with sea views and are air conditioned. They have flatscreen TVs, IDD telephones, free Wi-Fi internet access, minibar, tea and coffee maker and safe.
Activities: You have a wide choice of watersports including waterskiing, windsurfing and canoeing. The hotel can arrange glass bottom boat rides, sailing and snorkelling trips. Diving, catamaran cruises, deep sea fishing, dolphin watching and cycling are available for an additional fee. Other activities include tennis, beach volleyball and table tennis. You can have a workout at the gym.
Facilities: There are 2 swimming pools, one with a whirlpool and a children’s area. Spices is the main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The last are often themed buffets such as Asian, African, European and Mauritian. There is also a steak house and a tapas grill and beach bar with a large open deck. There are also options for private meals in secluded locations throughout the hotel. The Indigo Bar is in the main part of the hotel and has a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. You can enjoy beach service as you sunbathe as staff bring your choice of drinks and snacks. The Ylang Spa offers massage and body wraps and has a sauna. The boutique sells clothes, handicrafts, magazines and postcards.
Dining: Meals are eaten at individual tables.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. There is a children’s club for those aged 3 to 11, open from 9am till 8pm each day. Baby sitting is offered for an extra charge.
