The Eclipse is the most comfortable expedition vessel cruising the Galapagos Islands, and preserves the attention to details and atmosphere of the best smaller boats. Other vessels of this size in the Galapagos accommodate about twice the number of passengers of the Eclipse, but the emphasis onboard Eclipse is firmly on comfort and accommodation is spacious.
The staterooms are all well propertioned and have ensuite bathrooms with either bath or shower. All are air conditioned and have sea views. The staterooms on the main deck have portholes while the deluxe and superior staterooms on boat deck have picture windows. Two of the deluxe staterooms have an extra bed so can accommodate 3 passengers. Cabins are serviced three times a day.
Amenities include a comfortable lounge, where evening briefings take place and a well-stocked library. There is an indoor dining room as well as an al fresco dining area. Meals are served buffet style. All guests are given a free bottle of water on arrival and there are numerous refill points on the boat. Outdoors the observation/sun deck is a popular place for relaxation and enjoying the views. This deck also houses the jacuzzi and two cross training machines. Eclipse has indoor and outdoor bars and a boutique selling souvenirs and clothing.

"All fine but again room cold even without the air-conditioning. We were upgraded as there were only 20 guests which was good. Staff very good and helpful. Generally sailed at night so if we had been in the cabins are the bottom of the ship the noise would have been dreadful. Fortunately being a level up the engine noise was slightly less."
Mrs. Tracy Lyons (05/07/2015)
"Good cabins although carpet quite stained and could do with replacing. Bathroom small but very clean. Housekeeping was fantastic. Food excellent and communal areas very well appointed. Outside dining makes a welcome change and was well organised. Best cabins are in the middle of the ship, lower deck level, as there is a lot of movement during the night when the ship moves between islands."

"Right size for Mum who is 80 years old - although still a challenge for wet landings - everyone helped out though! Rooms good size - lots of space to spread out on the boat and great to be able to eat outside. Food good and plentiful. Fun staff."

"Crew and Naturalists are very attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Doctor on board and free medication are a big bonus. Food excellent. Accomodation is very good but avoid cabin 15 if a couple as it is noisy and cramped for two.
Would certainly recommend the Eclipse and a two week cruise for anyone who can afford the time (and money!)as you get to see everything there is to see."
